This class was developed for those who are interested in making tutus using stretch materials but want to preserve more of the polished, professional quality “look” than the stretch tutus and children’s tutus currently available on the market today. You will make a beautiful, professional-quality Neo-romantic tutu-skirt with the top layer starting at the high hip (2-3 inches below the waist),  attached to one of five style choices for the stretch leotard top.

Students MUST have experience sewing stretch fabrics, as the techniques used in stretch sewing do have a bit of a learning curve. If you have NEVER worked with stretch fabrics before, we suggest you take our Basic Leotard Class before attempting this class; however, this is not a firm prerequisite, as many experienced stitchers will pick up the techniques quite easily.

This is a professional quality Romantic tutu built in the traditional, “Giselle” style with a modern twist, and you won’t want to miss it! Please read the descriptions under Romantic Performance Tutus, as it all applies to this Stretch Tutu class, the only difference being you will be adding a leotard upper to the tutu.

We offer two payment choices:  1. Online Payment Only: Pay in full when you register and receive a 10% discount on your classes, OR 2. Choose to pay a 50% course/kit deposit and our billing department will arrange auto-pay for the balance on 4/1 for MS and 6/1 for NC-July. If you decide to pay your balance sooner, please call during office hours and we'd be happy to process final payment. Please note, if you add options with additional cost to the base kit price those fees will be added to your cart and paid with your first payment/deposit. Payments are non-refundable, however a TutuSchools credit, less 10%, will be granted for use within one year at any of our seminar locations when requested more than 30 days in advance of your seminar. If you must drop out within 30 days of the class date, no credit will be issued. Spread payments over 6 mos. interest-free with PayPal credit.
